SAP Client Copy | Client Refresh | Step by Step

1      Heading

   This quick guide for Client Copy process ( Client Refresh ) can help during your administration or operation for SAP Systems Most of , when requested by functional team specially for Training System which usual ask for client refresh, or Quality Systems QAS.

2      Steps For S/4HANA 

• Login to target client

• Run tcode SCCL
• Fill as following

• Execute “Schedule as Background Job ”

Adjust the required date and time

• Monitor using tcode scc3

3      Steps For Gateway (Fiori) 

• Same steps as per S4HANA and we must add following post client copy steps (this only apply for Gateway NOT Backend)
• System Aliases must match the target

Open tcode: spro

Please make sure you have zodata, zodata_iwpgw with the right back-end client

• Also goto tcode /n/UI2/APPDESC_GET --> catalog SAP_*_BC_*

• Try it in test mode --> at the bottom if you see
  @5B\QInformation@ Extraction finished for 0 catalogs and 0 apps
  
  No need to run this as all catalogs and apps are up-to-date. if not 0 catalog and 0 app, run this without test mode
  
  
  

• Goto se38 and clear the global cache /UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES
