Changing the Password of User TMSADM
Use
You can change the password of user TMSADM and distribute it to the SAP systems of your domains.
Prerequisites
You have administrator authorization in client 000 for all SAP systems involved.
The SAP systems of the domains involved are available.
Note The
program copies the password using many network connections. Complete the
prerequisites for using Secure Network Configuration (SNC) in all SAP
systems of your own domain and connected domains. Then activate SNC in
the global domain configuration of your own and all connected domains
and distribute the changes.
Procedure
To change the password of user TMSADM, proceed as follows:
- Log on to the Domain Controller in client 000.
- To do this, execute the TMS_UPDATE_PWD_OF_TMSADM program with the ABAP Editor (transaction SE38).
- Enter a password.
- Start the program. The program runs through the following phases:
- Logon to each SAP system involved. The test users and test destinations are created.
- Check the connections created.
- Change the password of all TMSADM users in the own domain and in all TMSADM destinations involved (cross-domain, if necessary).
- Delete the test users and test destinations.
At the end of this program run the system displays a log and the individual program steps. You can redisplay this log at any time.
Result
The password of the TMSADM user is changed in the
own domain. The related entries in the RFC destinations of the own and
connected domains were adapted. The content of the secure storage was
updated for the password.
Note The program can terminate with three failed logon attempts or other serious problems.
For SAP systems with a release lower than SAP NetWeaver 7.3, the program generates the destinations for the user TMSADM as described in SAP Note 761637 . For SAP systems from Release SAP NetWeaver 7.3
the system stores the password of the user TMSADM in the secure storage
for the TMS application and does not use the procedure described in SAP
Note 761637 .
